Cape Deslacs

This is a pleasant coastal walk from a carpark at the eastern end of Clifton Beach. Beyond the carpark the road is gated, but it can be walked to the Shearwater (Muttonbird) lookout.  The nicer way is to take the track to Clifton Beach then walk along it towards Cape Deslacs where there is a walking track leading up to the platform. From the platform backtrack to the road and take a bush track that goes gently up to the clifftops. The track then follows the cliff line, passing a junction then reaching a style.  It is worth going over this and along to the views of a square hole in the cliff can be seen (5 minutes along and 200 metres).  A further 500 metres along (10 minutes) gives good views back along the cliffs of Cape Deslacs.  You can continue further but it is not as nice to walk and turning around and heading back is probably the better choice.

Go back to the junction and a turn down the sandy track through untouched bush leads to the carpark.
