Walk Description

Pleasant short coastal track  that can be combined with Echo Sugarloaf to make it a longer walk.

Walking from Randalls Bay to Mickeys Beach via Randalls Point is quite a short distance and even going as far as the track will allow is only makes it 4k return. The bays and beaches are nice but face south so trees shade them as the day progresses.  The track also has houses not far away. Beyond Mickeys Beach a less well defined track departs over a rehabilitating area above a carpark and leads to the next bay where there are colourful cliffs.  It stops at a point where a track leads down to a beach. According to the map at The List the reserve continues to Cray Point but a private property blocks the way, although it seems to have encroached on public land.

I recalled that “Hiking South East” had walked from or to a spot further west than Mickeys Beach and on return discovered that he too gave up at the same point that we did.

We took 1:15 for the 2.5k to the turnaround point and just 25 minutes for the 1.4 return leg.
